Harris and contains a diverse collection of specimens from Greenland, arctic regions of North America, high elevation mountain ranges in the Intermountain Region such as the Wasatch Front and Deep Creek Range, and the deserts of the San Rafael Swell. In addition, UVSC has one of the most comprehensive collections of the genus Braya (Brassicaceae) outside of Canada and the genus Draba (Brassicaceae) in Utah. Notable collectors include Renee Van Buren, J. G. Cooper, Walter Fertig, and Jason Alexander. Currently the vascular plant collection includes over 17,000 accessioned herbarium sheets.
