Yukon University Herbarium (YUKONU)
YukonU Herbarium (global identifier: YUKONU) is home to a collection of vascular plants, bryophytes, fungi, and lichen from the Yukon Territory, Canada. YUKONU captures plant diversity across the Yukon, serving as a historical reference collection dating back to the 1960s. With over 10,000 specimens, approximately 80% are represented by vascular plants and are included in the present digitized collection. YUKONU also houses over 2,000 cryptogamic specimens (lichens, fungi, and bryophytes), which are currently undergoing curation and will be included digitally as well. Encouraging diverse utilization and engagement from local and visiting researchers, students, and community members, the YukonU Herbarium is an invaluable scientific and cultural resource dedicated to the documentation and celebration of plant diversity.
